European Summer Training Programme

Leuven, Belgium

“Jesus went through all the towns and villages, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and healing every disease and sickness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into his harvest field.” Matthew 9:36-38

Welcome to the official invite to ESTP 2018! We are excited to share this week with you and seek God’s heart for what He’s doing in your context.

The harvest is plentiful, full of people in desperate need, physically and spiritually. Every day as we walk around our campuses and city streets we are surrounded by those who seek to follow but are without a leader. These are Jesus’ sheep; it is His harvest field.

During ESTP, we be asking God to grow in us a heart for those in our lives and will be thinking of practical ways in which we can engage well with people. Throughout the week we will be hearing from various speakers, corporately worshipping God together, learning in seminars and contributing to reflective discussions in small groups (there will also be some fun games and community times built in). Previous ESTP attendees speak highly of how impactful this week is for their faith and increases in them a hope for their communities. Lives are changed for God’s kingdom in Leuven! Come be a part of it.

Our campuses and cities are his harvest field and Jesus prays that people might be sent out to work. Would you be the answer to Jesus’s prayer? What are you waiting for? Jesus is calling.

Programme Description

The European Summer Training Programme (ESTP) is a week of mind expanding, vision grasping, heart swelling, and hands-on learning.  Students from Nav groups across Europe come together in Belgium to live and work together, meeting God personally and discovering His call to live as labourers next door to everywhere.  It’s ideal for any students who want to understand the whys and hows of leading and living missionally among the secular generation.  And did we mention how good the food is?

The programme includes personal bible study, large group meetings with worship and teaching, small groups to re ect and interact with each other, and exposure to top Navigator leaders from all over Europe. We will serve the ETF in the afternoon each day through practical work projects on the premises – Gardening, shelf-building, demolition, removals etc. All necessary tools and safety equipment provided. And there will be plenty of time to hang out, meet new people, make lasting friendships and explore the town.

Testimonials

I experienced it as good and challenging, as it was quite full but with good programme (as Meetings and Workshops). I liked the Opportunity to have a lot of conversations with different people and get to know them more.

ESTP was a fun experience! I really enjoyed the people, the food, the worship. Altogether, it was a very encouraging week for me. There were so many different people, but it was great to learn and process with them.

Totally awesome! Feel so blessed to have been there:-) The atmosphere of the Navs family I really appreciate. Being together on a mission is great. To hear and learn from the stories of others is an enrichment of my vision in general and my Navs experience in particular
