What We’re About

We want to help university students to encounter Jesus Christ, begin a relationship characterised by deepening love for him, and then grow to love, support and equip those around them.

We run groups at various times throughout the week…

  • Some groups are for those who are new to Christianity or just looking. These sessions are open discussions where people can ask their questions and raise their doubts and concerns about spirituality in a safe environment.
  • Other groups are for those who want to explore the Bible in more depth, consider how it applies to everyday life and to respond in prayer to God.

If you have any questions or would like to get involved please get in touch below!

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING…

I joined Navs in my third year of studies at Edinburgh University. I’d attended small groups before in my past however none compared with Navs in the way they welcomed and cared for me. My group leader, Ben, brought me round for porridge often and he taught me how to study the bible – which I am thankful for to this day.

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING…

As a student in Navs, I was blown away by how more mature believers were blatantly open about their lives. No masquerades or pretense; they took confident refuge in Jesus for his daily grace. Watching this for months in my leader, Carmela, my reaction towards God was “If following you means admitting my sin and still being loved, I’m in.”

WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING…

I joined NAVS in my third year at uni, and immediately felt at home. For me, NAVS was the first place in which I experienced what it was like to be completely honest with other people about life and faith, including all the great things but also all of my questions and confusion. Not only did this develop great friendships, it has truly helped me understand God better and develop my relationship with Him
