Suzanne & Wouter Vonk
We love to work with young people, because the students from today are the leaders of tomorrow. People in this phase of life ask the big questions of life and are open to explore faith and to discover if Jesus is real.
Our dream is to see spiritual generations emerge from Birmingham, to see students who follow Jesus themselves and pass that on to others. We dream that this will have an impact in all kinds of places in the UK and beyond.
We are currently working with students at the University of Birmingham and both have roles in the UK and in the European Navigators work.

More about our work
In 2017 God called us from the Netherlands to the UK. Since March 2019 we are based in Birmingham and it has been a big faith adventure all the way. We have been pioneering a student ministry at the University of Birmingham. It was a big step for us to leave our home country, family and friends behind, but God encouraged us to trust Him with the promise of Isaiah 58:11-12.
“The Lord will guide you always;
he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land
and will strengthen your frame.
You will be like a well-watered garden,
like a spring whose waters never fail.
Your people will rebuild the ancient ruins
and will raise up the age-old foundations;
you will be called Repairer of Broken Walls,
Restorer of Streets with Dwellings.”
God has been faithful. He has looked after our needs as a family, and He has lead us to students who are hungry for God. As students we have been blessed by being part of a Navs group in The Netherlands. It has helped us to learn what it means to follow Jesus in all areas of our lives and to share this with others. We want that for everyone! We would like to pass on what we have received, and we believe in the impact of being alongsiders in the lives of young people.
